Book by Dr. Dale Bredesen’s protocol which he calls “ReCODE”, otherwise known as the “Bredesen Protocol”. He claims it can reverse Alzheimer’s, through a mixture of a lot of different lifestyle changes to sleep and diet patterns. This is certainly a miraculous claim, to have a cure for AD when so many others have failed. The problem is that there’s very little support of his methods in the scientific community, with no mention of it whatsoever on Wikipedia even.
Bredesen’s initial trial consisted of 10 patients, which then expanded to about 100. He never got support from the scientific community to conduct a proper clinical trial, since his protocol varied too many things at the same time. In response, he claims that AD is too complicated to be treated by one thing, therefore any single-factor trial will miss it, so he bypassed the scientific protocol and conducted his own trials. This immediately raises a lot of red flags for me, since he overrides scientific consensus, so everything he said is dubious. Therefore, I gave up the book about halfway through without really looking into the details of his therapy program.
